Tips: Myths About Toys
I
would like to cover some things that some of you have come to believe
as true. Its kind of like those myths your mother told us as kids, like,
don’t go outside with wet hair or you’ll catch a cold, you have to wait
20 minutes to go swimming after you eat, or sex is only for
procreation.
If you believe these myths then you probably wouldn’t even be at this
site.
So
lets start by saying that most of the lies or myths you have heard
about sex toys just aren’t true. However, you will need to understand
any concerns your partner may have concerning them.
Some of the most common myths that we should clear up are as
follows:
1. Sex toys are for perverts or freaks.
Let me say that all types of people use sex toys including your
perverts and freaks. They aren’t freaks because they use sex toys. They
are freaks for other reasons. I know if you’re not open to sex toys I
don’t think I’ll be able to convince you here. So by all means check the
internet and you will see that most everywhere you read, even on your
educational sites about sexuality that the use of sex toys is
recommended.
2. Sex toys are for solo play.
I would have to say that I think most people believe this to be true
but over the years people have finally come to realize how much
enjoyment they get out of them as a couple. I have heard a lot of men
say or think that if you needed the toys that we probably haven’t found
the right man. Well, this is definitely not the case. I found the right
man 15 years ago but we have enjoyed a variety of sex
play.
3. Your partner may feel inadequate.
While this is a common feeling because lets face it, the orgasm that
you will receive from a toy can be quite intense and long. As good as a
toy feels there is no emotional connection to it. So make sure your
partner is aware that your feeling for them are the
same.
4. Some people feel that they are dangerous.
Actually the opposite is true. Now don’t laugh but using toys help
women maintain vaginal tone and helps with other sexual health issues.
Toys are recommended by many doctors to help women achieve
orgasm.
5. You can become addicted to your toy.
Now this one is a bit true. Since the orgasm that you get with a toy is
so intense and feels so good you can come to want it more often. But
with anything that we enjoy we want to do it more often. But again it
can’t replace the emotional relationship you have with your partner.
Remember these help alleviate a stale sex life, which will happen if you
don’t keep the
variety.
6. Now the myth that buying sex toys is embarrassing - I have to agree with.
Especially for women going to a sex shop or adult book store just isn’t
comfortable. That is one of the big reasons that these private home
pleasure parties have sprung up. It’s confidential and yet everyone
usually has a great time. Also you can see how the items work prior to
buying them. Then there is always just buying them from my site and no
one knows what you’re
getting.
Remember
to keep things open and discuss any concerns and of course make sure
there is plenty of trust and you should be able to enjoy a very varied
sex
life.
